2012 BMW 3 Series Video
Friday was all about the reveal of the new 2012 BMW 3 Series. And we managed to get a big new 3 Series photo gallery up (the most popular page this month already on Cars UK – which tells you how popular the 3 Series is) and full UK prices too, so we thought we ought to update that lot with some video of the new 3 Series to make sure we’d covered all the bases. As the Los Angeles Auto Show rapidly approaches, the 8th international Design Challenge has been announced. Inviting studios from across the globe to compete, previous years have seen concepts created for environmentally conscious briefs that called for sub-1000lb vehicles through to ‘Motorsport 2025' concepts that reinterpreted motor racing in the semi-distant future. This year sees six design studios turning to the silver screen and creating the next ‘A-list automobile', those being: Honda Research and Development Americas, Inc; Hyundai Design North America; Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America inc.
Chrysler Ypsilon - UK prices and details
As part of Fiat’s efforts to integrate its range with its new toy – Chrysler – we are now getting Chrysler-badged Lancias in the UK, in this case Lancia’s stretched Fiat 500/Panda – the Chrysler Ypsilon. The Chrysler Ypsilon is the first new Lancia – in all but name – to get to the UK since Lancia gave up on the UK market after we got fed up with Lancias falling apart back in 1993. But as we’ve taken to the Fiat 500 in droves, there’s a decent chance the UK will take to the grown-up 500 in the guise of the stretched Chrysler Ypsilon with its extra room.
